Victorian Farmhouse Master Bath!

In addition to the kitchen in this Victorian farmhouse, we completely remodeled the master bathroom.

This bathroom had a lot of wasted space, but since it was a large room, it had tons of potential to be a real master retreat.

Two pedestal sinks providing no storage, flanked the room’s large window and a awkwardly placed toilet had no privacy.  The standard tub/shower combo with faux sheet tile, and a shower curtain that allowed for no natural light made for a very small dark shower space. The small square floor tiles, red paint and old bead board paneling also had to go!

We added a new custom furniture double sink vanity with legs which included a bottom shelf area for beautiful baskets and storage. A neutral marble looking quartz top with a decorative ogee edge, 6″ high side & backsplashes will be maintenance free for years to come. A custom framed beveled mirror, built-in medicine cabinet to match and two gorgeous new vanity lights completed the attractive new vanity area.

Across the room, the wall covering the home’s brick chimney was removed; the now exposed chimney was painted to blend with the ceiling to continue to add character back to this century old home.  Removing the old linen cabinet and pushing the wall back allowed for built-in glass shelving for accessories and storage. A little nook for the new toilet was created for better privacy and a storage cabinet above the toilet for more functional storage space.

The new walk-in shower with a corner bench seat and multiple shower heads add function to this grand, spectacular shower.  The large amounts of glass panels and the custom shower door now bring in all the natural light and with a LED can light above the shower area, it is a very bright, easy to clean spacious area. The luxurious Calcutta bronze/cream hexagon marble tile that covers the floor, bench front and the large two-shelf niche along with the large faux marble shower wall tiles are materials fit for a “Queen”.

The same large faux marble shower wall tiles continue throughout the entire floor of this new master bathroom; adding in-floor heating, now that is what the “King” of this home really desired.

A new freestanding clawfoot slipper tub with the satin bronze tub filler is the envy of all who wish for a very calm, relaxing bath. The large decorative hexagon wall tiles surrounding the window, calm light blue paint, and satin bronze hardware throughout complete that professional designer touch.  Now this Victorian home has a properly designed, modern functional master bathroom for all to desire!
