This master bathroom had a large footprint and no privacy from the master bedroom and it just wasn’t working for these homeowners. We enclosed the bathroom by adding walls to the ceiling and installing an entrance door. We also raised the walls inside the walk-in closet taking wasted space and turning it into usable storage shelves. Clean white maple vanity cabinets were designed with six drawers along with a matching tall countertop tower (with electricity & shelves) provided much needed daily storage for this couple. We removed the small linen closet and replaced it with a tall linen cabinet with roll trays to further enhance organizational storage. We even added a wall storage cabinet in the water closet room. The tower, linen and wall cabinets were all finished off nicely with crown molding. The soaking tub was never used and it took up a lot of space; so, we converted it into a luxurious oversized shower with a large bench. His and hers shower heads and individual large niches were installed for those daily shower necessities. A beautiful custom shower glass enclosure continues the sleek modern design vibe. The shower window was resized to provide privacy but functionality. A beautiful 12×24 white tile was installed on the shower walls to the ceiling, and we continued to use the same tile for the bathroom floor to include the clothes and water closet areas. A contrasting black accent row which was also used on the shower pan floor and the back of the two niches finishes off this shower with that elegant designer touch. New sleek black stainless steel plumbing fixtures, pewter cabinet hardware and dark gray undermount vanity sinks provide an elegant contrast and tie into the quartz countertops with a moderate dark gray vein. Updated paint, lighting and accessories lighten the space and give it the grand elegant master bath design features and feel with all the storage and space these homeowners desired.
