This kitchen and dining area was not giving off the cheerful vibe these homeowners wanted so we helped them realize their dream with a new custom kitchen.
The star of this kitchen is full custom cabinets in a custom teal color that gives the space a bold happy tone. The new island allowed room for a double roll-out trash can cabinet and a wide cabinet with roll-out trays for pot and pan storage. Extending the island counter top and adding tapered legs gave enough room for three counter stools for dining and entertaining. Glass cabinet doors were designed for for a dish display wall cabinet and openness to the kitchen. A matching dishwasher panel cabinet door was added for a smoother consistent run of the beautiful teal cabinets. The homeowner loves to bake, so on the other side of the kitchen we designed a baking center area along with a large pantry cabinet for all those handy small appliances, etc.
The old tile countertops were a dark tile with grout that was tough to maintain, so a bright white quartz with subtle warm and grey veins was selected and was also used for the window sill above the sink. Neutral decorative backsplash tile going to the ceiling on the window wall adds interest and lightness to play off of the bold cabinets. Stainless steel appliances, undermount sink and fixtures blend beautifully with the teal and white. We replaced the old busy floor tile with a lighter, larger 12×24 floor tile that helps make the space feel bigger and has less grout lines to keep up with. Fresh new baseboards and added pendant lights complete the overall design.
Now these homeowners along with their family and friends can’t help but smile when they enter their new kitchen!
