Big Open Floorplan Remodel!

This beautiful home had a lot of great features and layout but the builder grade kitchen was underwhelming. We helped these homeowners achieve their dream of a true open concept floorplan with a grand kitchen to elevate the entire home and reflect the families graceful style.

The previous kitchen was a bit walled off and had a high 2-tiered L-shaped peninsula breakfast bar that broke up the entire space. We removed the walls and reconfigured the space to be one large open kitchen ready for cooking, gathering, dining and entertaining. We removed the soffit to make room for gorgeous stacked white maple cabinets, with a pewter pen glaze for that touch of a “farmhouse style”.  Accented hammered glass doors adds just the right amount of elegance for those much loved collectables. Bringing the cabinets and crown molding to the ceiling beautifully enlarges the entire space and they are now proportionate to the new generous island with contrasting navy island cabinets, which has seating for seven!

The range area is a beautiful focal point with a navy wood hood that matches the island and the decorative accent tile compliments the cabinets and surrounding white backsplash tile.  The striking quartz countertops with large flowing grey veins ties all the areas together.  The bay window area became the perfect beverage center and area for game day snacks and again more of those striking navy cabinets.

We reconfigured the laundry room and existing pantry closet into an inviting mudroom entering from the garage with multiple large pantries and utility cabinets to the ceiling.  A finished sink area offers extra storage, counter space and a clothes rod.  The functional, but yet charming barn door closes off the laundry/pantry area to the rest of the home adding more “farmhouse style”.

Every detail was thought out to make this main level home feel custom built with a touch of modern “farmhouse style”.  We updated the stair railing, lighting and paint plus refreshed the fireplace to bring this main level home up to date and so functional and fitting for the homeowners.
